"I've had the pleasure of working with Tim many times over the last 20yrs. He has a wonderful style that is solely his own, and he has always been my guy for groove & feel. Whatever the genre, Tim always manages to "get" exactly what is needed and is able to interpret just what the song needs"
- Gary Durham, Producer / Musician cSv
"If there had been an award at HRH Festival for the sharpest dressed man, Tim would have walked away with it hands down as he prowled the stage throughout their set, immaculately dressed, like a flashy modern day dandy."
- Metal Planet Music (September 2021)
"As if Paul Simonon was in a country band"
- My favourite audience member comment, that I have had on more than one occasion!

Ever since first hearing my parents’ country, soul and rock & rock 'n' roll records in the 70s, I have always been a big music fan. The 80s saw me getting into my own music and I finished the decade live onstage, in a Sixth Form band. Currently you will find me playing as 50% of a goth duo called Deadlight Dance. I also play bass as part of Slyder Smith and the Oblivion Kids. This band was spawned from my time in Glam tinged Power Pop band Last Great Dreamers and I had been gigging heavily with them, prior to the Covid-19 outbreak. They are currently on hiatus. In addition, I'm the bassist with Richard Davies & The Dissidents. As well as playing bass on his critically acclaimed 2020 debut "Human Traffic", I also received a co-production credit. Finally, I am one third of a Hants / Berkshire Jump Blues / retro 50s roots rocking band The Jimmy Sixes.
I started to get more serious in Bath based rockers SkinTrade in the early 90s who achieved some TV and radio success but ultimately imploded within 18 months. Since then I have toured the UK (from England's south coast right up to the Highlands of Scotland), releasing vinyl records, playing on BBC sessions, playing on a Total Guitar CD, performing on prime time TV in the USA and generally having a blast. 2019 saw my first ever European Tour. Covid paused things but I have since been back out actively, touring the UK, playing Ibiza and playing on 3 releases in 2022. Lots planned for 2023 - both shows and recording, which marks 35 years of playing for me.
My earliest musical introductions came via my mother's old country, soul and rock 'n' roll records. To this day I still love vinyl records. I started playing in the late 80s, influenced by both the 80s sleaze scene with bands like Hanoi Rocks and the Dogs D'Amour and 80s goth acts like The Cure and Sisters of Mercy. My tastes range from the 50s rock 'n' roll of Elvis to Eddie Cochran, through to the 60s bands like The Rolling Stones, The Animals and The Byrds, 70s Glam like T-Rex, David Bowie & the New York Dolls, the punk scene from The Clash to the Ramones and a lot of other stuff, 80s... Motown and particularly Stax Soul... Country acts from Glen Campbell to Waylon Jennings.
I have always played in bands and with acts doing the stuff I want to do, be it Glam, Punk, Soul, Rock or Country. I've played the legendary Marquee Club, the Borderline, London's O2 and generally ticked a lot off of my bucket list. I'm equally happy playing to ten people in a local pub though!
In addition to being a bassist I have stretched out to play mandolin, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, dobro, slide, banjo, harmonica and lap-steel.... with varying degrees of success! The bass will always be my instrument where I feel most at home.
